In this infographic, QuickSprout has given us the anatomy of a high converting landing page. Converting, or the marketing technique of Conversion, is when marketers try to turn or convince casual traffic into becoming paying customers. A landing page, on the other hand, is the page where most visitors land when they visit a site. This does not necessarily mean the home page of a website. Landing pages are important because they serve as the first impression of each website. It is the first page that they see. This page is also where most conversion occurs.

Aside from showing us what makes up a high converting landing page, we can also gleam lots of useful insights from this infographic, including:

  • How to Create Eye catching Headlines
  • Image VS Video
  • Displaying Benefits
  • Placing Calls to Action
  • Importance of the Page Fold
  • Placement of Links

Landing pages are one of the most important aspects of a website, not only because it is literally the first thing that visitors see when they enter your website, but it is also the initial point of marketing on websites. Most choices of customers are made in those precious few seconds that they land on your website. But its not as simple as creating a pretty landing page, you have to make sure that this page is a high converting one. What this means is that all the elements of the page have to be working together to get that customer to commit to making a purchase.
